Paid Apprenticeships
Second Spring Farm is always looking for good help. We offer paid apprenticeships for people who are interested in learning about farming. These positions are great opportunities for individuals who have a future goal of farming on their own. We believe that experiencing a full growing season on a successful, working farm is the best way to gain the necessary skills. Your personal goals and learning needs will be discussed, addressed, and honed throughout the season. Attention to detail, reliability, and an awareness of how to work efficiently are our only prerequisites. Work begins in mid-April and ends around Thanksgiving. Workers must come prepared to be an integral part of the farm for the entire growing season. There are additional positions available for the busiest summer months only as well as working at farmers markets or working exclusively in our packing facility.

Volunteering
Whether you’re looking to volunteer on a regular basis or just come out for the day, we encourage you to give us a call and come see what the farm is all about. Learn skills that you can apply in your own home garden, enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and we’ll be sure to send you home with some delicious, well-earned produce at the end of the day.
